Haywood Spay/Neuter envisions a future where proper health care is available to every pet in Haywood County, regardless of owner income status. Spay and Neuter services are essential to the health of each dog or cat and greatly diminish the cycle of homeless and unwanted animals. Our wellness programs provide education, referral resources, and essential services to empower pet owners to give their companions the healthy, happy lives they deserve.

TRANSPORT UPDATE: Our next transport dates are January 10th and January 24th. Due to staff shortages, the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance reduced the number of surgeries they can perform so we book up quickly, especially for female dogs.
Tick Control Combat Plan!
Why it is suggested that you continue your Tick Program year-round:
It is proven that ticks are more active in the late summer and early fall. Some consider spring and summer as
tick season and don’t realize how active ticks are in the fall. Ticks can be active in temperatures ranging from
40 degrees and as low as 32 degrees. During the winter when we have a warm or mild day we take our pets
out to enjoy it, this exposes them to ticks in the environment.
Your pets can be exposed to ticks in social settings as well. Dog parks, grooming facilities, and kennels are risks too. It only takes one animal carrying one tick to spread exposure.
